Jackson Hole Eclipse Lodging – Limited But Still Available for Solar Eclipse

Top of the Monday. To correct any miscommunication surrounding Eclipse availability and helping travelers source places to stay, planning partners at the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce have recently created a space on their Eclipse page to show availability for specific lodging options during the dates surrounding the 2017 Total Solar Eclipse taking place here in the Tetons on August 21, 2017.

Due to the unique event, lodging availability has become limited. The properties listed below reported that they have vacancies between Tuesday, August 15 and Friday, August 25. Availability is subject to change, minimum stays, and other restrictions. Availability may not include the night of Monday, August 21. Contact listed properties directly for details. Consider visting in the days before or after the eclipse!



Camping Option | Grand Targhee Opens Camping Options in Alta, Wyoming

Knowing that Eclipse inventory for in all categories is slim, the kind folks at Grand Targhee have decided to open the resort on the days surrounding and of the eclipse to Camping, RV Parking and Day Parking.


On August 21, 2017, a total solar eclipse will occur and Grand Targhee Resort is in the path of totality. It has been almost 40 years since the last total solar eclipse crossed North America. In Alta, Wyoming the duration of totality will last approximately 2 minutes and 16 seconds. On the day of the eclipse, Grand Targhee Resort will only be open to guests who are camping, have a scenic chair lift ticket, or parking pass. Due to high demand, the resort will only sell a limited number of lift tickets, camping and parking passes.
